A WELL-WORN STORY has it that an old man was hauled back up into a cruising ocean liner to the sound of a cheering crowd. People applauded his bravery with undulating admiration. He was seen jumping off the ship of over 7-storey high into the choppy seas to rescue a drowning passenger from the 5-star cruiser. Back on deck, shaken & shivering beneath a towel he was dripping wet but otherwise OK. It took quite a while for the din in the crowd to die down in anticipation of a speech coming from the hero himself.Humbled as he appeared to be, he was rather befuddled. The first word they heard him said was, ” Damn! WHO pushed me? “ Like the others drawn to the commotion, he had rushed to the scene hearing somebody yelling that a passenger had gone overboard. In an instant the cruiser leaned to starboard as curious onlookers jammed the deck. They witnessed few minutes of traumatic splashes from the victim as she flung her arms about in the swell gasping for air. It’s a suffocating sight… While all eyes were looking out, little did anybody know that a secret agent, probably a God-sent angel appeared at the nick of time.He came over and stood behind the old man, whispered softly : “can you swim?” Old man turned his head & replied ” yes! ” without even so much as to think. In fact he wasn’t thinking at all, it was a gesture more of a reflex action triggered by an intense desire to do something. Angel :” good.” And the next thing he knew, he was shove overboard. ” MAN Over Board!!”, another cry went out from a sailor.

When i can not hand in assignment on time, i might have to AWOL when the crunch is tight.

Now on i am free as a bird, sometimes even OK to be a jerk.

Because you alredy know what i am not, there’s no need to pretend when i’m stuck in a knot. “

2 kinds of people

Top 1% = the Boss, the top man who’s allow to put both legs on the table when talking on phone inside his room. His voice can be heard outside,.. lots of laughs, hearty bossy generous laughter. On a bad day, the loudness is heard as commanding shots.. 2.) Bot 1% = the clerk. Performance evaluation does not depend on seriousness at work. The rest are the head-burrying working executives, under pressure, deadlines, orders. Performance evaluation do depend on seriousness at work, so don’t laugh unnecessarily.

I received confirmation letter on 911. Days later I looked at the memo on the email before deleting it, wondering why that number.

Perhaps there is nothing to it, it’s just my mind playing up images from the 911 disaster in NY. Or perhaps that number appeals to my ego somewhat, as my car was named 1109 on its number plate. Something I have come to associate with great significance becos of the enormity of the tragedy.

The evening news made an Indelible impression on me. That is about the scraps of remnant memories I have of that rented apartment, and all the rest have long faded into oblivion now. The world was changed that much & drastically all in a sudden, and the effect of it rolled into my otherwise banal and predictable life.

Now I know the suggested serving on food labels should be tying ordinary and mundane things with something big, spectacular, possibly global.. in order to survive the memory-deletion in our brain function.

A new era had moved in. ‘Terrorism’ became popular overnight, infamy gained stardom in the media. Precisely just what the perpetrator had possible envisaged in their planning.

In my part of the world, I am now a confirmed employee. Oh gee, I am stuck. It would be 2months notice in the resignation letter before I could leave, if I get to leave at all. (when?)

I remember the days I had wished some kind of airlift would come for me, it was unforgettable to long for a break,.. away from a place I wanted so much to get out from.

There was a military helicoptor alright, but it landed on the lawn just to drop off the royal visitor. I often joked with myself on the highway on my bike, imagining a rope coming down from a chopper overhead as I was riding at top speed (110km/hr) — yea, lift me off!

take me OUT of this place !

After sitting out for a year, I finally got my ROD (run out date) & moved interstate. This time, the entrapment let me off..
